On February 16, 2023, the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and Huainan Dongchen Group held a cooperation and exchange symposium in Huainan City and signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Academician Li Jiangang, President of the Institute of Energy, Hu Haomin, Vice President, Sun Lianghong, Standing Committee Member of Huainan Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, and Li Mao, Party Secretary and President of Dongchen Group attended the meeting and witnessed the signing of the Agreement.

Sun Lianghong, Executive Vice Mayor of Huainan City, presided over the symposium. Hu Haomin, Vice President of Institute of Energy, introduced the establishment and operation of the Institute, the progress of scientific research projects and the future planning ideas. President Li Mao introduced the development course and future development ideas of Dongchen Group. Focused on the development trend of new energy and technology, academician Li Jiangang put forward constructive suggestions on the green transformation and development and industrial technology upgrading of Huainan City and Dongchen Group in combination with the fact of Huainan. In his concluding speech, Mayor Sun pointed out that he hoped that the Institute would take advantage of its own technology and talents to strengthen cooperation with Dongchen Group in coal mining subsidence areas, comprehensive utilization of coal mine solid waste, new energy development and utilization, and assist Dongchen Group and even Huainan City in green transformation and development.

After the symposium, accompanied by President Li Mao, academician Li Jiangang and his party inspected the demonstration base for comprehensive treatment of coal mining subsidence area of Dongchen Group and Panji Park, a resource utilization base for bulk solid waste, and investigated the all-coal gangue ceramsite production project.
