On the morning of April 12, the Anhui Science and Technology Award and Promotion Conference on Accelerating on the Construction of Scientific and Technological Innovation System were held in Hefei. Li Jinbin (secretary of the provincial Party committee), Wang Qingxian (deputy secretary of the provincial Party committee and governor) , and other provincial leaders attended the conference.

The 2020 Anhui Science and Technology Award was awarded at the conference. The project of "Research on Key Technologies for diagnosis of Core Parameters of Fusion Reactor Combustion Plasma" won the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award. the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center participated in the project as the second undertaking unit.

The Science and Technology Award of Anhui Province is to honor the scientific and technological personnel and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the scientific and technological progress and socio-economic development of Anhui Province, which plays an important role in encouraging the majority of scientific and technological workers to continue scientific and technological innovation and comprehensively open a new journey of constructing a modern and beautiful Anhui in the new stage.
