The talent work conference of Anhui Provincial Party Committee was held in Hefei on the afternoon of December 16. Zheng Zhajie, Secretary of the provincial Party committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Qingxian, deputy secretary of the provincial Party committee and governor, presided over the meeting. Ding Xiangqun, a member of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party committee and director of the Organization Department, made a concluding speech. Academician Li Jiangang, director of Institute of Energy, and Academician Yuan Liang, deputy director of Institute of Energy, participated in the conference on invitation.

Zheng Zhajie and Wang Qingxian met with academicians and leading talent representatives attending the conference. They shook hands with them one by one, had cordial exchanges, and extended sincere greetings and heartfelt thanks to the majority of talents in the province.

The conference stressed we need to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s new ideas, new strategies and new measures on talent work and earnestly implement the spirit of the 6th Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the central economic work conference and the central talent work conference. The conference stressed that we should adhere to the Party’s management of talents, highlight the strategic position of talents in leading development, enable and strengthen adhering to reform and opening up and high-quality development and realizing greater achievements in building a new development pattern and greater progress in accelerating the construction of a better Anhui, and unswervingly implement the talent cultivation project in accordance with the deployment requirements of the 11th provincial Party Congress.
