Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center held 2021 Year-end Evaluation Meeting and Horizontal Project Summary Meeting of the Joint Laboratory on Dec. 14, 2021. The deputy director Hu Haomin of the Institute of Energy, directors of research centers, heads of joint laboratories, horizontal project leaders and scientific research personnel, and heads of relevant management departments of Institute of Energy participated in the meeting.

The directors of the Joint Laboratory of Extreme Environmental Materials and Special Processes, the Joint Laboratory of Nuclear Testing Application Technology, the Joint Laboratory of Plasma Application and Terahertz Technology and the Joint Laboratory of Medical Nuclear Technology Application respectively reported the project construction progress, achievements, problems and suggestions of the joint laboratories. Subsequently, the expert group scored the four joint laboratories in terms of project scale, project progress, achievements, cooperation and exchange.

The leaders of the eight horizontal projects reported on the progress, achievements, difficulties and solutions of the projects, and had in-depth exchanges with on-site experts.

 Finally, Deputy Director Hu Haomin recognized the progress and effectiveness of the joint laboratories and horizontal projects in his concluding remarks. He also raised four hopes. First, he hoped to build more laboratories in the fields of renewable energy, smart power, and clean and efficient utilization of coal. Second, he hoped that the joint laboratories could help more enterprises solve key common engineering and technical problems. Third, he hoped that they could actively apply for special support from provincial and municipal major science and technology projects and engineering centers during the cultivation of joint laboratories. Fourth, he hoped to establish more high-quality new enterprises through cooperation on the basis of joint laboratories to promote the transformation and implementation of achievements.

 Institute of Energy will give further play to the advantages of basic innovation and engineering technology innovation, further deepen the cooperation of industry, university, research, application and finance, promote the “three local” transformation of scientific and technological achievements, to promote the development of enterprises and contribute to the high-quality economic development of the whole province.
