On July 9, a sunny day after rain in summer, the Joint Laboratories of Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center (hereinafter referred to as Institute of Energy) held the mid-year exchange meeting successfully. More than 30 people including Hu Haomin, deputy director of Institute of Energy, the leaders of the laboratories, representatives from enterprises and heads of various sections of Institute of Energy participated in the meeting. The head of the Scientific Development Section presided over the meeting.

According to Hu Haomin, the transformation of technological achievements is one of the priorities of the Institute of Energy and Institute of Energy needs to solve the bottleneck problems through industrialization. As an important industrialization focus of Institute of Energy, it is very necessary for the laboratories to build research platforms that can solve practical problems. Not only should the Institute of Energy give full play to its technical advantages, but also fully learn and use the power of enterprises to attract more high-end talents to join the research team. Meanwhile, Institute of Energy will give full support to enterprises in terms of funds, talents, mechanisms and other needs so as to truly solve their practical problems and serve them.

Zhang Shoubiao, head of the Scientific Research Section, introduced the development and key project deployment of Institute of Energy, and Kong Defeng, head of the Scientific Development Section, introduced the overall planning, development ideas and support policies of the Institute of Energy for the Joint Laboratories.

Then, the heads of Joint Laboratory of Extreme Environmental Materials and Special Processes, Joint Laboratory of Plasma Application and Terahertz Technology, Joint Laboratory for the Application of Medical Nuclear Technology and Joint Laboratory for the Application of Nuclear Testing Technology respectively report the progress, existing problems and next plan of each laboratory.

Finally, they discussed the project schedules, system and mechanism of the joint laboratories in depth and put forward questions and suggestions on the application of provincial and municipal projects, the way of achievement transformation and mobilizing the enthusiasm of personnel. The heads of various sections answered questions about procurement, finance, personnel cost and so on. Institute of Energy will further simplify the system and mechanism and strengthen management support to provide more efficient and convenient services for the progress of scientific research projects.
