From February 6 to 7, the Institute of Energy held a one-and-a-half-day work retreat for middle-level cadres and personnel with senior professional titles to thoroughly plan work strategies for 2025 and the next 3–5 years. All institute leaders, senior advisors, heads of various centers and departments, and researchers with senior titles attended the meeting. At the meeting, heads of each center and department engaged in in-depth discussions on key work priorities for 2025 and development strategies for the coming 3–5 years, put forward opinions and suggestions, and institute leaders provided comments one by one.
The meeting noted that since its establishment five years ago, the Institute of Energy has achieved a series of major breakthroughs and accomplishments while maintaining a sound momentum of healthy and rapid development. The year 2025 is a crucial transitional year, making it highly significant to do a good job this year and in the next five years. Going forward, the Institute will further sort out all opinions and suggestions, scientifically formulate the key work points for 2025 and the development plan for the next 3–5 years. In accordance with the overall approach of “clarifying the main direction of attack, building core teams, developing hard-core technologies, improving the scientific and technological innovation system, cultivating future industries, and achieving self-sustainability”, the Institute will innovate institutional mechanisms, refine its institutional framework, properly handle “addition and subtraction”, and promote high-quality development. The meeting achieved the goals of further unifying thinking, strengthening confidence in development, clarifying work priorities, and forging a strong consensus to forge ahead.
