On August 28, 2024, the Anhui Provincial Administration for Market Regulation (Anhui Provincial Intellectual Property Office) announced the selection results of the 11th Anhui Provincial Patent Award. The invention patent “A Multi-Degree-of-Freedom Conductor Drop Mold System for Winding Toroidal Field Superconducting Coils in Nuclear Fusion” (Patent No.: 202311035477.9), developed by the Superconducting Technology Application Research Center of the Institute of Energy, won the Provincial Patent Excellence Award. The Patent Award is an important measure to implement the national intellectual property powerhouse strategy and holds great significance for promoting high-quality creation, high-level protection, and high-efficiency utilization of intellectual property. This award fully recognizes the core technological achievements of the Institute of Energy and its Superconducting Technology Application Research Center in the winding of superconducting coils for fusion applications.
