In 2020, the Institute of Energy, in collaboration with Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co., Ltd. of Gansu (hereinafter “Baiyin Group”) and Hefei GStar Intelligent Control Technical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “GStar”), jointly established a Collaborative Innovation Center. The three parties conducted joint R&D on neutron-source-based online detection technology and related products. After five years of collaborative efforts, they successfully developed the “Online Element Analyzer for Copper Slag Based on Controllable Neutron Source,” which has been put into demonstration application at the Mineral Processing Company of Baiyin Group.

On the morning of December 27, 2025, the China Nonferrous Metals Society organized an expert evaluation meeting in Baiyin, Gansu Province. After comprehensive review by the expert panel, the product was certified as reaching an internationally leading level.

Subsequently, GStar, together with the Institute of Energy and Baiyin Group, co-hosted the product launch ceremony. Representatives from relevant universities, research institutions, and enterprises witnessed the official debut of the product.
