To deepen industry-academia-research collaborative innovation and promote scientific and technological innovation as well as industrial upgrading, the Institute of Energy, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and Jiangsu Macmic Science & Technology Co., Ltd. jointly held the signing and unveiling ceremony for the “Joint Laboratory for Reliability Evaluation Methods and Lifetime Prediction of Power Devices” at the Center for Intelligent Power on the afternoon of June 9, 2025. Attendees included Zhao Shanqi, Chairman of Macmic Science & Technology, and Cui Song, Deputy General Manager, along with Hu Haomin, Executive Vice President of the Institute; Ding Lijian, Vice President; Deng Erping, Director of the Joint Laboratory; and Xing Hui, Deputy Director of the Center for Intelligent Power.
Prior to the official start of the signing and unveiling ceremony, Chairman Zhao Shanqi of Macmic Science & Technology and his delegation visited the exhibition hall of the Center for Intelligent Power. They examined in detail the Center’s innovative achievements in platform development and technology commercialization, with a particular focus on the construction and operation of the power semiconductor device reliability testing and failure analysis platform. They highly praised the breakthrough progress made by the Center in the field of power device reliability research.
At the signing and unveiling ceremony, Ding Lijian, Vice President of the Institute, and Zhao Shanqi, Chairman of Macmic Science & Technology, delivered speeches respectively. Both sides agreed that this cooperation will strongly promote the innovative development of power device reliability evaluation technology and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the industry. Subsequently, witnessed by all attendees, Xing Hui, Deputy Director of the Center for Intelligent Power, and Cui Song, Deputy General Manager of Macmic Science & Technology, signed the agreement for the co-establishment of the Joint Laboratory. Hu Haomin, Executive Vice President; Zhao Shanqi, Chairman; Ding Lijian, Vice President; and Cui Song, Deputy General Manager, then jointly unveiled the plaque for the laboratory, marking the official launch of this important industry-academia-research collaboration project.
Executive Vice President Hu Haomin emphasized at the meeting that the Joint Laboratory should always adhere to the research philosophy of “demand-driven, application-oriented, and value-creating” and conduct research that is demand-based, applicable, and valuable. He stated that the Institute will provide full support for the construction of the Joint Laboratory, promote the formation of an innovation system with deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, and jointly tackle key technological challenges in the development of China’s power device industry.
The successful holding of this signing and unveiling ceremony has not only laid a solid foundation for cooperation between the Institute of Energy, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and Jiangsu Macmic Science & Technology Co., Ltd., but also opened a new chapter for technological progress and industrial upgrading in the sector.
