On March 5, 2021, the unveiling ceremony of the "Joint Laboratory of Medical Nuclear Technology Application" between Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and Chengdu Nurit Medical Technology Co., Ltd.was held at Tennis Hotel International.

On December 2, 2020, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) issued a document (GKJFJ [2020] No. 88), approving Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center (Anhui Energy Laboratory) (hereinafter referred to as Institute of Energy) to be registered as the supporting unit of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

On the afternoon of October 22, Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and the Institute of Advanced Research of Anhui University of Science & Technology (Hefei) formally signed a contract to settle in Luyang.

On the morning of October 9, the "Collaborative Innovation Center for Key Generic Technologies in Non-ferrous Metal Intelligent Manufacturing" jointly built by Baiyin group, Hefei Goldstar Electromechanical Technology and Institute of Energy jointly was established officially.

On the afternoon of September 12, the Jianghuai Online Economic Forum of the World Manufacturing Convention held the the Forum on the Integrative Development of Yangtze River with the theme of "deepening the innovation chain and industrial chain to synergistically enable integrated high-quality development". Governor Li Guoying delivered a speech, and Vice Governor Zhang Shuguang presided over the forum. Academician Li Jiangang, President of Institute of Energy, was invited to attend the forum.

On August 31, the "Joint Laboratory of extreme environmental materials and special processes" jointly built by Anhui Yingliu Electromechanical Group and the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center (Anhui Energy Laboratory) was officially unveiled in the Institute of Plasma.
